Dr. Dennis Kengo Oka has been involved in automotive security since 2006. In the past, he has worked with Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden where he bootstrapped automotive security research for remote diagnostics and over-the-air updates on vehicles. Prior to joining Synopsys, he worked in the Bosch group in Japan serving both Japanese and global customers. Specifically, he co-launched the automotive security practice (ESCRYPT) in Japan and was the Head of Engineering and Consulting Asia-Pacific. Currently, at Synopsys he is engaged in developing global solutions focusing on security in the automotive software development lifecycle and the supply chain. Dennis has over 60 publications consisting of conference papers, journal articles and books, and has presented at numerous international conferences and events.
