Dominik graduated in computer science and cybersecurity at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 2018, where he subsequently started pursuing his PhD at the Security Engineering Chair. 2019, he moved with his doctoral supervisor to the University of Passau. His general research focus is the security of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV). Dominik is concerned with the systematic and standards-compliant design and deployment of secure and scalable security solutions to SDVs. He employs a holistic security approach, covering the entire lifecycle of SDVs, starting in their design phase and ending in the operation phase. He works on creating cost-efficient and transparent security processes for service-oriented and updatable environments. Moreover, he researches the coherence between safety and security, e.g., by investigating how SDVs can appropriately react to security incidents context-dependently.
